Comments. A RECENT forum discussion headed by the People's Association Youth Movement zoomed in on the perennial problem of brain drain in Singapore. blah blah blah.
In the end, both groups of friends agree on one thing: They want to stay with their loved ones in Singapore. Give them some time, and I'm sure that Singaporeans abroad will realise that they're more like salmon than flighty birds.end Comment. My reply .
The people who made Singapore to world class standards of living and way of life are more like Salesman than Salmon, I submit.Firstly our ports made it a compulsory stops for ships sailing through the Straits of Malacca and beyond. Our Airports infratstructure won awards years after years, for comfort and passengers conveniences and comforts. In Asian region, we are not too bad.
So I would think that Singaporeans are like Salesman ,rather than Salmon. ! The brain drain are what our fish farmers done, raising the upbringing, care and knowledge to raise a better fish. Those which jump out of the fish farm's net and roams the seven seas might find the world a less friendly place, than the fish farm' safety. They might be food or other fishes. Nevertheless ,if the fish do come back to tropical Singapore, it is better than the poles or colder temperate countries.
In fact due to the hot weather effects, tropical sea water fishes from canada were drifted to lower latitudes by strong waves and current, and the local fishermen capture the fishes due to the fact that the oncoming winter will kill the tropical sea water fishes. Home is a place like Singapore!
