Jailed for blind loves in Foreign land for Singapore girls
and and devotion. They were wooed with free stays and loads of cash ,
when the young lad sometime rendevous in Bkk or KL when they were
banned for overstaying.
The gullible lasses are now having a long time not in a love hotel but
behind the women prison in Australia ,Hong Kong and Japan.
The smooth operators are believed to be West African or
mainly Nigerian.
The Central Narcotics Bureau reported that 8 Singaporeans
have been caught for 2009. among them 7 women, up from 22
since 2003. So if a single lass seems to be chatted up by a dashing
Nigerians ,plenty of cash, and used cars traders and electronic goods ,
and look from 20 and above ,turn on your safety antenna.
These could land into something beyond love and lovenest, only jail for
2 and the cold stone floor everyday. The conman in love are also are also
internet savvy and websites visitors.
Once in the throes of love, these lasses could not see beyond the cash
and good times and invited to home and mum.
Once alone and in a strange countries, they are forced to courier the
drugs through false bottom suitcase or in their body.
The drugs are mainly for another country for the Singapore passport
attracts less attention.
The CNB reported that so far this year it recovered 1kg of heroin
No 4 ,the purest grade, and arrested 3 lasses and four West Africans handler.
These Singaporean lasses must be unsophisticated in love and dumb,
and clueless for the news always warn of drugs in third world , and the
scammers.
What could third world countries give to Singapore that we
cannot produce.?
These scams have been highlighted frequently, big money to lure small
money that only those who did not read the news are not in the know.
Lessons like these will help insulate Singaporeans in the future.
In a statement, CNB said it takes “a serious view of syndicates
trying to recruit Singaporeans as drug couriers”,and " should
not allow themselves to be made use of by foreign drug syndicates",
including offer of free travel or paid holidays.
Nothing is free in the world today.Payback is now or later.Period.

Railway KTMB stopped at border by PMS Najib and Lee
It went through 3 Ex Premiers on Malaysia side, and two from Singapore side when the baggage have finally been opened. It involves in the end trading the lands that straddle Singapore a swarth of prime real estate, snaking and chugging thru residential estates and many commercial buildings with a startling change.
The dinosaur aged old railway train which belong to Malaysia have not changed much since the 50s.
Its operating system have baffled and mystified many who could not see the conundrum, of jet age living with the slow age.
Political wills have prevailed over past differences, with water, land ,airspace thrown into the works. And all have failed before.
The bridge was too far, even building the 2nd link bridge, there was still the gulf that separated Singapore and Malaysia.
It might have continued into the future have it not been solve today. The founding farther, Dr Goh also passed away last week, he was the GA in Singohpore.
Probably his modesty and humanity stopped him from having the credits of having made Singapore into what it is today. And back to the KTM land deal, Singapore was once part of Malaysia in the 50s.
The KTM was then chugging away, many a tourists and people alike to northen park of Malaya, through Johore, the frontier town.
I remembered , on my NS leave, I took a $50 into my backpack and hitch a ride, bus or train to Penang and back again in two weeks or bust.
It opened my eyes and change my characters on how Society works.
I have met crooks , drug seller and kind driver who allow me to jump into their vehicle on my way to Penang.
Meanwhile the impasse on the status of KTM Berhad (KTMB) land , that presently cut across half of Singapore was never settled .
With ex Premier, who was insulted when he studied as an intern in the past in Singapore, to the Minister whose late father was banned from Singapore for involvement in the Maria Hertogh,s riots in Singapore, all the angst will float to the surface, blocking the negotiation table. However Datuk Seri Najib, the son of the founding of Malaysia and the son of the Present PM of Singapore both were tiny when the turbulence of the birth of Singapore and Malaysia were emerging in the 50s.
Datuk Seri Najib must have spent happy time in Singapore, or sat through the KTMB that was the mode of transport in the 50s.
In the cattle class, it was noise ear shattering noise of the 1000 horses locomotive engines. Presumably, he was in the end of the train which should be a comfortable decibels and poshed and insulated.
Anyway time have moved and the water under the bridge have moved and meanders into the seas, fast forward now and KTMB was left in a stark time warp, not there , but here, and ever heard of having your passport stamped or not stamped with Malaysian chop in Singapore ?
Two countries one system ? One could almost commit a crime in Silly Singapore and seek asylum in KTMB station, much like the porous borders of Canada, when the stateline could be drawn in the grass. So many have flees US by being arrested on Canadian borders which voids the arrest.
Now back to the KTMB. Malaysia will move its railway station at Tanjung Pagar to Woodlands, the norhtern most part of Singapore. The clincher would be the three parcels of KTMB land - at Tanjung Pagar, Kranji and Woodlands here - would be jointly owned, developed or traded by an M-S company owned 40 by Singapore and the rest by the other party .
Most expect the land to be in the Marina Bay , where the reclaimed land will starts in the Billions. For curiosity sake, the sand that is the building or parcels of land that stood was source from other than Malaysia. It might be helpfull if the flowers that grace the building be be soiled with sands from Malaysia , to show the ironies of it all.
It was banned from importing the sand from Malaysia for the construction industry especially building the shoreline or enlarging the shoreline of Singapore. Most like Singapore to be cute, and small, not bigger, so the easier to handle with. That is the reasons the land cost in the billions.Importing sand from faraway land is an expensive affairs, grain by grains.
Now on the nitty gritty, both PM agreed on the enhanced features, much like the buttons on the internets,on the agreement POA signed in 1990.
At that time, the enhanced features was nowhere to be seen, especially with the feisty Ex Premier.
Elaborating on the deal, both side would meet again in one month,s time in Malaysia,
which is the hot month of June. Many hailed the agreements as win-win. The baggage was left two long in the storeroom, and on opening would be a treasure trove of historical wonders.
On the other hand it would enhance the travel of both countries with the establishment of rail and subway link in Johore and Singapore, bypassing the current causeway which is a cause for concerns and more. The back in time immigration facilities smacks of time warp, the new alongside the old, the piles still in the water of the infrastructure of the crooked causeway.
The breaking of the water pipeline would also make most Singapore thirty, but they might as well sipped Champagne in the absence of water. The statement said by Najib, was worthy to quote "we see light at the end of the tunnel.".and "We are both smiling," .
Further PM Najib standing beside Lee said it was an occasion to rejoice. It is about time, the glass was gathering cobwebs after 20 years in the same post. The ice buckets need to be refilled though, the holder needs to be polish to show the shine. Finally the people of Singapore and Malaysia will get to rejoice and join in the relocation of the current CIQ centre in which people of both side had to face in the daily grind transmuting .
The statement said KTMB will shift to Woodlands by July 1 2011. In a concession
Malaysia's customs, immigration and quarantine facilities will also be located there, a strange but mixed sovereign agreement to facilitate the users. Presumably, lawbreakers will be under Malaysian and Singapore system of law.
The joint company known as M-S Pte Ltd set up by Dec 31,with the smallest in in the history of the Company Registrar with Khazanah Nasional Berhad and Singapore's Temasek Holdings.
It will hold six parcels of land totalling 271ha one of the biggest landlord next to the listed company in Singapore. The historic land parcels are in Tanjung Pagar, Kranji and Woodlands, currently a bunch of old buildings, illegally storage space and leanto, untouched by Singapore,s law.
It is expected all activities will be legalised and much coverted by land developers here in Singapore.
The PMS also envisage the rapid transit system (RTS) between Tanjung Puteri in Johor Baru and Singapore to take over the current descript and non fucntioning CIG. The RTS would be fully developed and integrated with public transport services by 2018,where the like of MagnetLev would be widely available.

Central Singapore Under Water 1
The heavy rain also affected many parts of the island. According to PUB, the total amount of rainfall at Bukit Timah Road was 110mm, which is approximately 43 per cent of the average monthly rainfall for November. It happens by design because Singapore,s canal were supposed to drain into the Marina Bay and then into the sea.
The rebuilt and enlarged drains in Bukit Timah or Tin Hill, the local name was designed to divert all excess flash flood into pipe linking the western
reservoir (Pandan Reservoir). It did it job for two years, and then the tide and the perfect timing and the monsoons soon put it to the test, it overwhelms the system when the division did not absorb enough away from the Canal. Thus the 115 size pools of water. In every month of April, the rain is very much welcomed as the farmers in India, but this time the goodness soaks and flood everything in sight and out of sight, including the BMW, the basement car parks and low lying lander properties. Most items were either soaking wet or under water, which means a lot of cleaning up by the housemaids. No weekend out this week.It was reported that some cars were floating around in the carpark. Some students had to sit their exams after the buses were late.In fact, never had a heavier rain falls in tropical Singapore for the last ten years. In local folkloar ,it mean raining cats and dogs and good fortunes and manna from heavens. Immediately, the local PR Governments declares the recession over. Thus there is some truth in the saying. It doe not rain but it pours. More good things are a-coming for Singapore.

Panda-monium in Singapore in 2011
Then back to the present. He was given a warm welcome at the Istana, or palace ground or whatever, the heartbeat of Singapore, er, Sinscity. Power enamates outworth from the here to the rest of the country.
Thus , Singapore joins the selected seventh lucky country to boast the black and white Giant Pandas, from the Sichuan enclave of Wolong panda reserve. In short where you get your Oolong tea leaves. Which gives the Panda, the black eyes patches, as proof that they have been feasting on the tea leaves, which give thems the high as in diplomacy, and being sleepless in Sichuan, its metamorphose into black eye Panda.
So when they said , when half the world is asleep, it is describing China and its resident, high on Oolong tea.Which leave the neighbouring Japan green with envy , with their version of Green tea. Both are believed to aid in longity , and conformity.
Following the Pandas, will be researchers, who will peers and peep , and write down their theories on whether the Panda, is related to any other, maybe the Russian bear, but it is passse and petroika is past and beyond. We now got Putin and Meldeve, another puppet show, much like Judy and Punch. All entertaining , but with a serious message, look at me or else!
It is believed that the researchers will refuse to share their bamboo shoots stir fry with the Pandas, nor will the Pandas offer the delicate shoots not even a bit to the scientist , to flavour or whatever. Most probably, Macs and Pizzas, toll free no will be given to the reseachers with the message, get your own.
And how did the Pandas and President Hu, come to Sinscity ? It is believe to be a local with the unlikely name of Apec. A Pek, is the local slang for old man, so , the educated Mr Apec, a worldly trained bureacrat , manage to get the Worlds biggest big shots, to come over for a coffee at the StarBucks in the worlds smallest State seems to be a PR coup or staged ?That is what the manager David Lim, says what some beefy men in Black ordered Black coffees and spread out in a security settings. Then come US Secretary of State, Mrs Hillary Clinton, formerly the President Bill other half. The resume seems every impressive, two for the price of one, White and hold the brown sugar, which do you want? I am talking about the coffee of cause.Never have so much power have come to Tiny Singapore , with the Prez of the world meeting in Suntec City. It might have please the other tycoon Li.The owner of Suntec, the mall with the biggest LCD on the Outside, facing the memorial to the WW2 civilian dead, the egyptian type monolith.
All that is past, and both Obama and Indonesian Prez claims to be from the same school when they were young. One from the worlds, most Muslim nation and the other from the most powerfull nation of Christian.
Which brings to the security staffs in Singapore, how to make it safer, since it is already safe by the world,s standard for Safe. Shoppers and tourists meanwhile shunned the Suntec mail as the owners moan the lack of traffics ,ever since the F! was here last month. Shopper should not act like the Teams Ferrari, zooming by and taking off, with a major pitt stops. It is insufficient to zap the cards, or fittings or brouse around.
As they said, winners and losers, this make 11Nov09 the most power packed days in Sinscity.

Iphone makes it three,not free
The 3 telcos are finally laser sighting the inhabitants with their plans, all with the purpose of drugging the users, along with lower charges, higher take up and lock in less terms.SingTel,s, the local ex monopolist, with the upstart Mi or M1, will together with the Star retailer, hubbed the Iphone on the hands and laps of all weak in the knees local, a marketing,s guru dreams, along with `tailored services `,which will lighten the pockets of the users . It normally means a lighter wallets and even smaller pockets. It,s tariffs will no doubt won terrify the users and the easy availability will mean Christmas is up ahead , not around the corner.
Whichever telcos, the plans will lower the price of data usage. However the downside is that some models would not be subsidise and will cost more.Which bring us to the point that we need to call our friends and foes alike, to announce, the Iphone is here, there, everywhere.!
Live and Die In Sin.City, father and children dead.
It was as if a horror movies shooting in situ, then the tragedy deepens as the father paced the edge of the ledge, culminating in the fatal fall as he was seen to flip into space and smashes the tiles on the walkway, below, creating holes where there were tiles , in front of the unwilling spectators.
The children bodies, a boy and girl lay peacefully ,side by side, not through smoke inhalations or burnt but by the kinder hand of the father. Their bodies were in a way protected from the flames by the cupboard.
It must have been a very desperate decision to make, for in this city state, charity and help seems to be lacking or reachable by those who needs it. Most deaths in this flatted Island in the Sun, in the East, were ended, so to speak , out of the window. Neighbours were reported to have said when they met at the traffic lights, he was asking her if she wanted to buy 4 d, the favourite legal wager. The illegals and the loan sharks are aplenty, and the father was noted to be a victim as the mark of the sharks, O$P$ was scribbled near their walls, mostly by teens, out for a quick fifties dollars retainer.
When the saleswomen wife came back to the triple tragedies, she wailed in vain for the young lives, lost, then the burnt house and finally the husband on the floor belows.
Such is life in the City Of Sin.Another typical deaths, the loan shark, the debt owned, and lack of access to help when it is needed.
Legislation need to be in place to make it a crime to abet the loan sharking and the access of cheap loans.
The underage scribbers ,who defaces the property, also need to be protected to catch the main actors The show will go one, watch this space for another similar situation, with the names changes, because the factors that causes it will bite another victims.Sad.

Died young but a singaporean lives again in eight others
The teenager, who often volunteered to tutor under privileged kids, gave eight patients a new lease of life when her parents - who held the belief that their daughter would have wanted to help others - donated five of her organs after she was declared brain dead, the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) reported in its May/June newsletter, Outram Now.
She was an angel BECAUSE Gwen was under 18, she did not fall under the Human Organ Transplant Act (HOTA) or the Medical Theraphy Education and Research Act (MTERA). It was up to her family to donate her organs. The thought of removing Gwen's organs distressed the family, but after consulting with a Buddhist nun who explained the nobility of the deed, they decided to proceed with the donation. It was only after the procedures that the family knew that Gwen's donation would benefit eight people. RELATED LINKS |
Gwen, a triple-science student of a top school, collapsed at a train station one morning last December. 'I tried to massage her head her head but she stopped me,' said her mum who was with Gwen then. Other than mild childhood asthma and occasional nosebleeds due to a thin nose membrane, Gwen seemed a healthy girl, her mother was quoted as saying. Their names were changed at the family's request for privacy, said the newsletter .
Mrs Tan decided to take her to a clinic where she was given an injection and medicine for giddiness and vomiting. But by the time they left the clinic, Gwen's vision had blurred. Late that night, she vomitted again and her parents rushed her to hospital.
A CT scan showed a massive blood clot in the left lower back of her head and doctors diagnosed her to be suffering from Cerebral Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM) - a congenital disorder that interrupts blood flow in the brain due to abnormal connections between arteries and the veins.
Gwen was transferred to an intensive care unit around 1am and was induced into a coma to minimise brain activities. Her condition stablised the next morning but deteriorated quickly overnight when the pressure in her skull spiked. An emergency procedure was done to relieve pressure on her brain. By the next afternoon, neurosurgeons told Mrs Tan Gwen's left brain - the part that controls speech and vision - was damaged.
"According to him, she was like a walking time bomb. As the high-pressure blood acts at the top of the vein, the thin wall of the vein is being stretched. It was only a matter of time before it burst," said Mrs Tan. Another consultant told her Gwen "would be gone" the moment she was taken off the life support machine.
On Christmas night, doctors told the Tans Gwen's hormones had become inbalanced - a sign the brain had lost its function. The following night, she was certified brain dead.
Grave tradition for the chinese clan
They come with parcels of duck, cake and fruit - fare for the dead they pray to during Qing Ming, a Chinese ritual in which ancestors are remembered.
But although their faith is strong, the ties that bind them to those who lie buried are not so closely linked. In fact they do not even know who they are.
What Mr Boo Li Yam, 55, remembers is a simple exhortation from his mother when he was a teenager: 'She told me, 'These graves belong to those who came from our village in China more than 100 years ago.
' 'We don't know them, but they have our surname. So, we must take care of them.' '
Last week, the tyre salesman and nine other people revisited the graves - the second time this year - a rarity.
This is because the graves are being exhumed to make way for redevelopment by the Singapore Land Authority.
The exhumation, conducted in two phases, began in February but drew attention after historians claimed the 150-year-old burial ground was Singapore's last surviving Teochew cemetery.
When Mr Boo and his clansmen heard about the exhumation, they came forward to claim the graves as their own. Last Monday, the remains in the 27 graves were dug up and cremated.
